Calling all primary schools in Hackney

We are excited to announce that St Paul’s School Foundation, of which The Mercers’ Company is Trustee, have awarded us an amazing grant to continue to grow our work with primary schools in Hackney.

Like us, The Mercers’ Company is committed to supporting young people’s reading, writing and oracy, and we are over the moon to have their support. The transformational grant will enable us to work with a consortium of Hackney primary schools over the next four years, providing inspirational creative writing programmes for over 2,000 children and their teachers.

Our programmes are all led by professional writers who will work with pupils to bring their writing to life – be it an island of magical poetry, the next edition of Star Gazers, or discovering Fragments from Utopia. We will also be training teachers in our unique approach, supporting schools to embed our methodology to make a lasting change.
